28 weeks later

Last night I saw 28 weeks later. The movie despite what I would of thought about it was awesome. There were a lot of dramatic improvements and weaknesses over the prior film (28 days later). Juan Carlos Fresnadillo, kept true to his fans not being the same director as the prior film. The cinematography was identical to the prior movie. There were a few scenes that shook around to much almost to the point that you couldn’t tell what was happening in the movie, but the insinuation was enough to keep you clenching to your date. The only real addition to the movie that brought down its status to the prior film, was the introduction of a bad character (Robert Carlyle) who has unexplained reoccurring appearances in the movie. The action sequences in this film were so gruesome and realistic you start feeling like you are actually a player in the movie. Admittedly, you want to deny the political undertones that are present in this movie surrounding the u.s. military that is in the film, however in this day and age, there is never a moment that you can show a military anything with out some symbolism behind it. This is definitely one of the best horror movies that has been released this year and I definitely suggest seeing this movie while its still in theaters. I give it a 4 1/2 out of 5 stars.
